It’s worth understanding their opinion and sometimes this kind of request means they see more potential in the deals than they’re letting on.

My experience has been there will be long lulls then towards the end of the month you will get flooded (at least in Philly) with requests.

That said, expect a 24-48-hour response time to requests/negotiations. 

As a private money broker, I strongly advise real estate investors to be cautious and avoid any lender that requests upfront cash payments.

Dave, I tried this with my 3 mortgages (attempting to move into LLCs on my attorney's advice, he also said to request written permission) but each lender only would give me a form that you fill out AFTER the fact, notifying them that you have done a transfer.
