I am not looking in markets outside of Michigan at this time.

There are a lot of market-specific issues you'll have to grapple with and also, there are plenty of landmines in MFR on its own in CT that you'll have to be ready for, in addition to the nuances and complexities of developing something like this.

Astonishingly, I'd argue that the luxury Oregon Coast Real Estate market is still a bit under the radar. 

The market in Scottsdale is cheaper than the Seattle market to buy, however, the rental market is a bit higher, so we would likely be renting for around $6k-$7k/mo. 

Plus, you already know the market, which gives you an edge.

How about someone that you wish would sell and move?"  

Over priced, layout is awkward, junky neighbors, back on market/under contract multiple times, bad photos, bad timing(got buried from other listings, weather occurrence, etc). 

I have looked at other coastal markets that are less expensive than Charleston proper.
