The structure of the business is changing behind the scenes, but the ownership of the accounts by the business remains the same.IE if the guy who created the "Vacasa" account on Airbnb/VRBO leaves Vacasa, they don't have to start over with a new account just because the guy that initially created the accounts left. 

If they refuse to leave, the owner can call the police and have them escorted out.  

Our first accepted offer was a 320 unit deal that we contracted, put up non-refundable (yeah, I know) earnest money, and thought we had our financing and money in place to do the deal.  2 weeks before closing a major (several million) partner pulled out leaving us short of the funds needed to close.

I think they need to dig in and fix this stuff instead of leaving it to property management alone.

If you can buy a home each time you move and leave a trail of rental properties behind you, you'll be FIRE before you know it.

Based on my 20+ years of real estate experience, I’d say renting the condo might not be the best option—$2,000/month rent minus $800 in condo fees leaves you with just $1,200 before taxes and maintenance, and seniors' condos can be tricky to rent.

Short term, leaving financing in place during rehab prior to resale — great strategy with limited risk to either party. 

As soon as the year membership is up, I'm leaving.

You can always leave and repeat the process and rent out your old living area.
