I hired some knowledgeable guys to do the heavy intervention stuff (electric, putting in windows, etc.). 

This is due directly to recent changes in what is considered acceptable and another example of too much government intervention in our daily lives.

There doesn't appear to have been any police intervention.

In general private money usually fits between Hard Money and Fake Government Cheese (Mortgage loans and other loans that exist at impossibly low rates because of government intervention).

Reality is No one can predict whether we will have a crash as it will depend on not only our government but macro economics in a global economy.What is not discussed is fed intervention, commercial real estate and liquidity.

Those ledgers (ie: books) should be audited by an independant accounting entity annually or more oftenas needed.If you need outside intervention in your specific case start with local authorities and work your way up.
