Texas does NOT ban homeowners from refinancing their home to fund investment properties.

I see a ton of sellers and listing agents overpricing homes and end up with big "price drops" back to reality. 

There is quite a bit of data that home prices are starting to decline in many areas.

My elderly grandfather owned a two-family home in the area, but over the years, the property had fallen into neglect.

We're not aware of anyone that's made a purchase from them work in over 3 years:(Most of the incentives in Detroit are targeted to owners that will live in their home or developers targeting large projects.

The one downside I've heard from my family who went to school there are that the homes don't appreciate in value much there so the only value in my eyes is to find a great deal to flip or to rent it out long-term.
