Will those buyers just hang up their home buying hat and continue renting (or staying in their entry level home) thereby foregoing their dream home?

Or can I hang onto it until (a) his lease officially ends; or (b) until I find a new tenant?  

So once again it’s off-line and I have guest that just checked in and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they can hang in there until I get home in two days.

I've tried asking if any maintenance was needed in various ways and never got a "Yes" in any form, even when there were obvious problems, such as paint peeling off the ceiling and a wired smoke detector hanging from the ceiling by the wire.
