So my wife took that advise and the next year we bought specialty evergreens  that are 30x15 and 20x10 and this ARC leader wants them out. other people seem indifferent.

My wife and I are getting ready to move to Memphis to be closer to family and have a beautiful old home in the Evergreen Historic District under contract.  

Personally, I prefer tropical paradises over the cold though.

I would love to get rid of the mortgage as the home requires flood insurance and I understand in an extreme case flood is a risk, but the home was build in 1979 and it has never flooded, despite many hurricanes and tropical storms.

I bought a house on 10071 vaughan Street which is 1 block from evergreen for 1k yes 1k with a year of owed taxes on it.  

I've been referring people to evergreen note servicing for the past 3.5 years.

Who knows Evergreen park, Oak lawn and Hometown.

I have yet to actually invest into real estate yet, my move to Florida is only a month old and I'd like to be a little more settled in before I start tackling some investment properties.I have yet to decide whether to first take on some rental properties or a flip, since foreclosures seem to be common around here; I plan to further educate myself on both and learn these areas much better, hopefully by attending a real estate investor's club meetings.I'm not aware of the trends, the good, the bad, or anything down here, but I feel that there is plenty of potential in rental properties in such a beautiful, tropical, and popular spot such as South Florida.Well, there is my brief introduction, I have tons of scouting to do in this forum and books to purchase before really making anymore posts, but I'd  like to thank everyone ahead of time for all of the information and help  that you put out there!

So, don't let that money burn a hole in your pocket and don't spend it on a tropical vacation.

I would recommend going with a variety of evergreen and deciduous shrubs as a base then add in some perennials and groundcovers.
