Its even possible for trickier runs to be done on the exterior in conduit, of course thats not ideal and in some situations not possible.

Is it typical that the gate installer will install the keypad and gate and run conduit, and leave the connections available, and then you contact a separate software company to wire up the computer and software to control it all?

Note, I also bought 100' of wiring for the unit (condo roof) plus conduit, insulation foam and UV tape to go over the foam for the rooftop install....

I am thinking put the appropriate conduit in and maybe just amortize the cost of a specific charger to the tenant with an electricity use fee (hate that much reporting)?

I already knew a lot of basic stuff (I was a plumber when I was going to college, and I worked electrical work in the military), but I learned how to: put up insulation; wire an entire house; plumb an entire house; hang kitchen cabinets; put down tile floors; install underground electrical service (yes, I pulled my own underground electrical feed 150 feet by hand through conduit); run a trencher and a mini-excavator to do final grading and install a plumbing service line; and probably other stuff.
