Many renters search by property type, so misclassification can definitely impact visibility.FMLS (First Multiple Listing Service) is typically more relevant for home sales than rentals, though some PMs use it for extra exposure.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Definitely don't sell it and buy cheap Class C in Texas or other state for "cash flow on paper" - I learned a painful lesson with those types of properties. 

But it doesn't seem to be riskier and more doomed to fail than BRRRR and other types of long term holding/land lording.

So depending on what your investment goals are and what type of properties (Class A through C/D) and where in the city you want to buy, that can directly impact the level of stability one can find within the market here.
