I am not saying you cant make money but just understand the dynamics of each investment and each area before you move forward.

I have friends that do this on a much larger scale, and what I can tell you from experiences with them is that there is more regulation with this than you would think (see: accredited investors, etc) and when you introduce debt to the portfolio, it changes the dynamics of how the fund operates considerably.

This is a highly complicated area of law that I could talk intricately about for quite some time, but it would do you no good as Family Law and related aspects there-of are almost entirely local.

The one thing you gain with your board membership is access to RPR...it's arguably one of the most dynamic reporting tools available...you simply cannot duplicate it.

@Peter MacKercher is a good source.. he has a vibrant property management division in his realty company as well as the dynamic of certain areas.

I felt mine was a little intricate, especially the way it started but as you go thru the thread you can see it transition to a smooth closing!
