When I did get one I made sure that my "new" lease ran for 18 months, or whatever it took to get it to expire in the summer.Beyond that I always made sure the yard looked as good as possible (tougher in some locales than others) that it was well-lighted inside and out and that I had the temp back up to normal and a fire going in the fireplace for every showing.Frank

Everyone can say what they think on here but before anyone goes around messing with retirement funds they might want to pay for a legal opinion letter.This way if an issue comes up there might be some kind of recourse for a party giving misinformation.Talk is cheap and people tend to change or manipulate what they said in the past to "cover their $ss".

Sure, the professional might help them play the game more strategically, but the reality is such that a lot of the folks we work with have bad financial habits and don't prioritize simply paying off debt, which are far more impactful to their score over the years than their ability to manipulate the system.
