I have met and worked with a Pinkerton a descendant of the famous pinkerton agency, and at the same place I worked with a Hatfield a descendant of the famous Hatfield/McCoy fued,  She told me the story long before it came out on the history channel. been on tv in a show by Andrew Zimmerman the guy who eats weird food. 

There is one famous lesson that always stuck out from my poker days which was to always leave yourself with outs - that is having a way to win even in a non-ideal situation.

As for management fee splits, this is one of the most misunderstood concepts in this industry.

I'm not trying to build some RE empire and become RE famous.

I'm not saying no one ever gets set up - I suspect there's a decent number of movie stars, sports athletes, and other "famous" people that end up with settlements over BS - but unless you're using a pseudonym here, there's a good chance you're nobody just like the rest of us and no one knows you have anything nor wants your stuff, so you can probably relax.
