Go in, and place was absolutely, completely filthy (an earwig in the freezer, every inch of the fridge covered in gunk, toilet had not been scrubbed, cat hair everywhere, many surfaces covered in a thick layer of dust and dirt).

So what is similar to your story is that we both would end our primary careers at a fairly young age (I’m not a sports guy but I’m guessing retirement age tends to arrive before grey hair) and could subsequently have long and successful investment careers.
