Hey @Dave BakerI am not familiar with Colne Valley but that specific development looks very nice.If you are looking to rent, you'll certainly be paying a big premium price for an apartment in that development compared to our apartment in that area.If you want to stay in a place where you have good facilities, it is probably the place to be but not necessarily the best value for your money.It depends on your preferences and what you value most.I used to live in a similar development for many years in the south east side of London.

The places in the northeast where inventory is high tend to be really rough from a jobs and opportunity perspective.In my discussions with people looking to invest out-of-state, I have heard many more great reports on the Southeast.

Check in Dallas, the VA hospital is in South East Dallas where homes are pretty cheap.  

Seems like a liberal mecca for the South East US. 

My wife and I lived in southeast Asia for a couple of years, so I think your REI goals are both realistic and very worthy!

What I more meant was, compared to the abject misery of living in Southeast LA without a/c, I would literally only eat one 25 cent ramen meal a day if it meant I could afford a/c.It's really that bad. 

There is no inventory around Seattle but I will buy in the South and South East states.3) I agree that you can't change adults for the most part.
