I have also only had one problem with noise and my neighbors were quick to let me know.I use an exterior camera system that I can tell if there is more people than what is allowed.I imagine there may be a wifi enabled sound meter/device that can alert you if sound is over a certain dB level, but have never had the need to look into this.I also get a copy of the renters drivers license so I know who I am renting to.I also have a minimum age requirement that helps weed out a younger group that might be more inclined to be single and throwing noisy parties.

I liked the reverse concept because it's easier should someone want to BBQ on the rooftop deck or hang out.As for the Quad/go pro, we measured off line and marked it so that we knew at what height the camera was taking pics.

I use Homeaway.com to advertise, take payments, manage my calendar ect.I also have an AirBNB account but it doesn't produce many vacation rentals.I have a great housekeeper that I text to schedule my cleaning.I use a Lockbox for keys.I have 2 Honeywell 9000 series thermostats to adjust temp when no one is there.I also just recently installed a camera system so I can see who arrives and make sure no one is breaking in when vacant.Very easy to manage remotely once everything is going.

I'd recommend and put up security cameras and change locks and get insurance now.That sounds super scary.
