Actually the duplex is in Trotwood but looks as if it's bordering Drexel.

I work in Stratford (which borders Birdgeport) and live a few more towns away.

I'm looking to invest in property south of the border (I'm in Canada, looking to invest in the states). 

The reality is that the interest on such a small amount borders on trivial especially when you consider that it's all deductible anyhow.

I believe this is a good part of town based on my research but it's not as close to the border with Clifton...

Right on the border depends on who you talk to.

Westland is west of Dearborn Heights, borders Garden City, Livonia, Canton, Northville, Farmington Hills, etc, etc.when i first saw it in march, it had a lot of junk, but the owners moved out yesterday and they had removed EVERYTHING from it. just super pleased. it was purchased for 60k and i am thrilled. the inventory is so low right now that i can patch some holes, put a coat of paint and literally have a bidding war at 85k. but.... that's not what i want. that's not what i am after. i want the "passive" cash flow. i want the monthly checks.
