Where most single family homes have other single family homes next each other for blocks, commercial zones could vary dramatically lot to lot.  

I am looking to make a DRAMATIC enhancement in property value within my local community and possible communities through the US.

I am worried I invest in 6-7 properties only for my monthly cash flow to be cut due to a dramatic drop in rent prices.

But I will say that by reviewing this with the tenant at the signing of the lease and explaining simple things to them has cause misc maint calls down dramatically.

Cost of adding adding square footage can vary dramatically but in San Jose for a median priced home, should range between $100-200.  

Maintenance will dramatically depend on the existing condition of the property.

There are a lot of aspects that need to be looked at for older houses which can dramatically affect the value, livability, and longevity of the property.

Indy is a large market though 2 plus million.. and for me personally I would love to see Americans come back into home ownershipI guess in a way in the areas were I am funding this is happening... but those that owned the rentals have seen dramatic appreciation and or the ability to do a retail rehab and get a FULL retail price from a homeowner.. 

The price drop is dramatic, but the rent decrease is almost non existant.

Just don't expect anything dramatic.
