A "V" shaped recovery looks to have been a fantasy. 

I know in San Diego in my life it has never not experienced appreciation over the long term; The GR took ~10 years for full recovery in San Diego and that is the longest stretch in at least 60 years.I have purchased twice near top of market in San Diego. 

I want my kids to grow through their struggles the same way bodybuilders or athletes grow through their struggles.

I may hustle for a week to get something done, then have plenty of recovery time for a few weeks.

Even if this is a hiccup, I just don't see a quick recovery in the near future.

Most say the economy is in “recovery”......I don’t know if that’s true.

@John Cornelius there are meal prep services used by bodybuilders and other athletes that deliver pre-packaged meals.

Frisco should enjoy some great home appreciation over the next few decades as the brand new PGA headquarters are currently under construction, the city will host a Ryder Cup, and it will hope to be home to more and more collegiate and professional athletic championships.
