Harris is a giant county, so they pretty much do every month.So take your list and research and have your minimum bid noted...go to the sales, but don't bid....watch, record, talk to people. 

I know some of the people building those giant buildings downtown, and while I am not happy with the style of the buildings the city allowed them to build (I am extremely conservative when it comes to architecture styles, and would prefer they were 100% faced in brick and not these weird mishmash things everyone builds now a days), or what I perceive as a lack of parking and over reliance on a luxury market, they are going to do quite well for themselves, so on that front it is hard to argue.

Sometimes you can locate the owner who sold it to Tom who sold it to Dick who sold it to Harry but all three did not put the home into their name.

I, having a career in IT, noticed that the giant distributor Amazon was looking to land their “Headquarters Two” in Raleigh, NC, and as it was within 3 hours drive from Ashton, we chose Raleigh/Durham as our market.

Giant porcelain tiles (32x32) which left me with a very small number of grout lines (used epoxy for those) I was really worried I would not be able to get these hugh tiles to set level but it came out much better than I thought.

Or the giant rice growers.  

Original wood floors, small kitchen, one GIANT bathroom on the main floor with 2 beds and a small bath on the full basement with 2 beds.

I hate to rain on other people's parades but going to school for the "networking" or the "experience" or to "have fun" is just a giant waste of time.
