Denver's one of my favorite places in the country -- mountains, 300 days of sun, great beer, legal weed, awesome parks and arts and culture. 

The good news is at KW we have all those things....a similar culture that makes it easy to network, investors in all types of assets, and at many offices regular opportunities presented for investments.   

As a fellow northerner, I tend to buy in the Southern half of the US for 2 reasons:1) you get much higher year-round occupancy rates in the South & it’s simply tough to earn a good ROI in the North if your place sits vacant for a big chunk of the year2) Culturally, the Southern half of the US seems to be a lot more accepting of STRs regulation-wise.

Tampa just celebrated the only Hurricane to have a direct hit in 1921.

I completely understand that people come from all backgrounds, cultures, and a lot of people don't speak English as their primary language.  

Also, I've got some friends who are planning to visit the Finger Lakes in a few weeks (mid November) to go wine tasting and had another friend celebrating their birthday in the area this past weekend.

Also very different culturally. 

I totally agree with Sam especially as a new agent it helps immensely to spend some time on a high performing team. wether you are on a team or not definitely look for a good culture in your brokerage, ask to attend some team meetings if possible and make sure you get along with the other agents. whatever broker you go with be sure to try and avoid the many traps out there for agents, lots of groups that will charge money or lead sources that don't get you any where and charge you lots of money to be a part of.
