Many more provide washer & dryer - this used to be more rare (even I was an anti-washer guy) but it's become more common, we make better rent by providing the units and we don't have to worry about the place being trashed by someone moving the units around.

The irony is that ROC is, for reasons of their own, anti chattel financing and is working with a number of "consumer" groups to try and make it illegal.

This is how I know the contractor lied about getting in the attic and walking the roof.Lessons learned:Use trust worthy contractors and make them take pictures of their inspection, if your not sure pay for a quality inspector.Cats can pee really high on walls and love the corners, even attics.Cat urine is harder to get rid of than other urine due to the fact that its molecules are much smaller and are hard to cover up (seal in the smell), the smell molecules will literally pass through water-based kills paint.Products that work really good are Oil based kills and to dissolve urine on hard surfaces, use a product called Anti-Icky-Poo.

We all belong to the state association and try to keep track anti investor legislation as  well.

I don't care of you have a "card" that says you can "smoke" that nonsense legally for medicinal purposes, you're not doing it or any other kind of smoking at my property. 

The challenges in IL are you have to deal with anti-landlord politicians, high taxes and poor handling of key issues like crime and COVID.

That being said, I'm not anti regulation, lets just cut back on the stupidity. :)Sean K
