@Phillip Hooks-Wright aside from the debate as to whether it’s legal or not... there is almost no business on earth that you can start legally with zero money.Even if you are providing a service you may need tools, bank account, insurance, invoicing system, quick books... something.I would work on building up some Capital through working and saving, then look to invest in a business.

I really prefer writing the checks for the two locations that I pay for 3rd party lawn care vs dealing with tracking my guys hours, tracking and invoicing the paid jobs and just having all this crap in my garage.

In their Nov invoice I clearly stated that the amount paid in October went first to cover the late fee and then rent, leaving an unpaid balance due for Oct rent.This month they paid only the usual rental amount.

We've used several in the past few years and there seems to be no happy medium between a solo plumber who won't send invoices for two weeks and the giant company with high rates.

They shut off the water at the street, went into the crawlspace (about 5 feet in) cut the CPVC pipe, put on a shark bite, and handed my wife an invoice for $238.What I am finding is that as I go through these painful early projects, I'm slowly building a list of quality, reliable, cost-effective service providers.

It's tough b/c I have a property management company collecting all of the rent checks and sending me monthly statements, so I don't need invoicing etc like many online bookkeeping services offer.
