Salem is really up-and-coming with the newly built "Tuscan Village" with tons of new apartment buildings, restaurants, and stores being added next to the already-built Rockingham Mall.

I believe that the Tuscan Village development is the largest development project right now in NH and maybe north of Boston so it might be worth for you to research into it. 

Assessments are done at the county level by the tax assessor, and at the Village/Hamlett level if incorporated (the two numbers don't always agree). 

Furthermore the property taxes recently re-introduced by the Italian governments pushed the owners to sell their unused properties.In my understanding, certain Americans loves living in authentic medieval villages on vacation.There are several famous medieval places already known to the foreign investors and tourists: Tuscany (San Gimignano, Volterra...), Cinque terre, Santo Stefano in Sextantio, Calascio...

When I moved here in 1997 I was 30 years old and even though all the jobs were in DTC, I bought a house in Alamo Placita because I didn't care to live in Greenwood Village / Highlands Ranch / Parker / Littleton.

Since Hempstead is an incorporated village, there are village tax, school tax, plus county tax.  

I was wondering if some of you might be willing to weigh in on this deal,  a Rose Village duplex:  4BR/2A duplex ~1500 SF List and offer price $299K (We feel we might have jumped the gun by offering listing price)Our PITI would be around $1500. 

He paid a bit more to host these people but point is, next thing ya know he's making crazy $ on STR because it's now this whole funky-art-village whatever thing, and it cost him peanuts, on garbage land, in middle of nowhere. 

I see you live in Miramar I have a rental in Cooper City Florida but I'm currently living on an island above Miami Beach in North Bay Village.

Something near the Villages would also work for you since so many people are coming here to look for properties in the Villages and Top of the World communities.
