For example, I added a $3000 privacy fence that I would like to be able to depreciation.I plan on having a cost segregation study performed so that I can depreciate the personal items over 5 years instead of 27.5 years.In my case, I think the adjusted basis will just be the purchase price minus the personal items.

I'd think any company would be doing the same thing, fee you for every notice or action required.I don't really see that much of a privacy issue, especially if you use say a family member.

My understanding is this would provide flexibility (can choose states that I don't live in), privacy (don't need to have my name and home address included in LLC records), and convenience (I guess these services send updates about deadlines, etc.).

I value my privacy tremendously and would be ok with 24 hour notice with 1 or 2, but more than that and I'd become a *****, because it's not what I signed up for when I rented and I don't think that's what's meant when the owner has the right to go in with 24 hour notice.
