Nothing became of the suit except it created some paperwork and stress for the woman who runs the HOA.This example reinforces what others have said: It's harder than you might think for a resident to make a case against an owner, she was only suing to get even with someone she deemed a slumlord (so don't be a slumlord), and liability insurance should cover the rare occasion a suit is successful.
