I have also found that if the veteran goes to their regional center (if appraiser does not come up in value) and pleads their case of hardship and their situation, the VA will increase value.

think we should just jack the rent to the current market levels which would be $300 to 400 higher than what they are currently paying, but I feel terribly guilty doing so since the tenants seem like good people without a ton of money and I don't want to turn their lives upside down.

And yes you should have a fee for a lease break, and should have done a complete walk-through before signing off.You could at least ask the old tenants to help you out and see if they feel guilty enough to do so.....

I estimate we spent a total of four hours on it for 12 properties.If this was your "short version" then I suspect you tend to write long and this is a bad thing (I used to be guilty).
