With mid-term rentals if your average guest stay is 30 days or less but you provide substantial personal services (daily maid service, meals, shuttles etc, more like a hotel) then it would be non-passive...but you'd also pay self employment tax on any income as well. 

However, the CRA treats LLCs as corporations, meaning you could face double taxation—once in the US and again in Canada at the personal level when the income is distributed.Typically, this issue is addressed by establishing a holding LP or LLP and then using single-member disregarded LLCs that are wholly owned by the holding LP.

Other companies have come in person to do it.Every year, I get new 4-point inspections on ALL of my properties and send to my agent to re-shop my insurance rates. 

Also, how were you able to find a person to fill that role and does that person have an additional part time job?

Business Continuity: If you invest with partners, a properly structured key person insurance or buy-sell agreement funded by life insurance can ensure a smooth transition if one partner is no longer around.

For me personally, I am hesitant to sell unless it really makes sense.
