Their agent was solid so that's why we decided to work with Empire Property Management, their sister company, which ripped us off on the PM aspect of the business by frequently and overcharging us on many maintenance requests (they have their in-house contractors).

Or hire a PM, get over-charged by an emergency plumber call for no freaking reason and have payments the rest of your life.

I used to be a tenant, and any such gift would for me at that time have been a slap in the face, a coldly calculated gesture designed to manipulate me into feeling better about being overcharged for rent.

The thing you should read up on is Fair Housing Laws and just make sure you don't illegally discriminate.Even you just do it for a bit, and get some experience with management, it will help you to better manage the managers, unless you are lucky enough to get a top notch manager that is reasonably priced and not overcharging you for maintenance.Best of luck!

Our competition could be losing money on cleaning, cleaning it themselves, OR we're just being overcharged by our crew.I'm curious what everyone else pays their cleaners and what your thoughts are on what our crew charges us.
