I am looking at yellow letters, bandit signs, car magnets, flyer handout or door hangers. 

I have my websites mostly set up, business cards made, magnets on my car, advertising on facebook and have been sending out letters with pretty much no response. 

Also Kortez another strategy that I am getting ready to start using is paying people to drive around with car magnets.

IMO, (non cpa, joe taxpayer like yourself),Deducting actual vehicle expense not only requires exclusive use for business, but the vehicle must have commercial signage permanently attached (ie not simple magnetic signage).Life is much simpler taking the mileage deduction and not raising a red flag for operation costs. 

"they have to be motivated", you also need to look and act the part.If you drive up with your beat up Toyota Corolla with a crappy magnet with your business sticking to the door,  they (the seller) will most likely not entertain you and if they do, they probably will ask you  for a POF...
