The answer is clear: allowing full renovations without mandating sprinklers results in a far safer building than one that undergoes only superficial updates.Furthermore, requiring sprinklers in more buildings will likely increase costs even further.

Again I am not advocating for this company and each person needs to do their own DD, all I am saying is I appreciated someone seeing something, calling me on it and having a conversation about it. if @Cheryl Abram  lost 100% of her investment then these must not be first position loans.. as even if a rehab fix and flip fails you still have SOME value in the assset its not nothing.

Neighborhoods to invest in is a more subjective topic as that is often dependent on the type of investment you're interested in, your price point and even the type of tenants, if that's the route your going,  that you are trying to attract.
