The Fed painted themselves into a corner over the last decade plus, partly because the gutting of the manufacturing sector meant that housing & service had to take up the slack for the loss of jobs (direct and ancillary).

@Michael Acosta With some of the trades there the few options know they have the market cornered.

We try to have an "abundance mentality" - where no one can really corner a market.

Or the other explanation is that they are cutting corners or doing the bare minimum for it to be code complying or both.
