I was also going to suggest moving the thermostat or you could swap it out for a nest one (never used those) that allows you to control it remotely and therefore lock out control from that tenant.Another option is to install an electric baseboard heater in the living room of each of the units-ideally under a window to allow better circulation.

Also, with potential inflation increasing from money injected into circulation and mortgage rates currently at all time lows paying down principal is objectively one of the least efficient uses of your capital?

The way they are managing the supply is for every digital dollar they make they take a real dollar out of circulation.

@Joe S.If it has central HVAC you should have the vents cleaned, replace the filter, and make sure that is not circulating the smell.

I can not print up Lesley Dollars and circulate them, why is it different for any of the cryptos.    

It helps circulate the air so that the house doesn't get stale.
