Just saying I have a lot of equity and want to make money with it, is not enough to make prudent decisions.

Simplify the structure as much as possible, have clear roles and responsibilities that are not overlapping (meaning only one person is allowed to make certain decisions) and a clearly defined exit plan.

Consulting a tax professional or financial advisor familiar with these rules would be a wise step before making any decisions.

Of course, if one wants to know which is which, just ask the syndicator if they were the day-to-day sole decision making operator who interacted directly with the PM, lender etc.

@Dominic Mazzarella Those are good points to keep in mind, and factors any investor should look at when making the decision to invest. 

I do think they are trying to outsource so many things to AI that its gotten bogged down with some incorrect decisions.

With that being said, in order to make the right decision the answer is in the math of the blended rate.

In this case, they get equity but do not make decisions.
