I am agnostic on geography other than looking to stay East of the Mississippi and out high tax/high regulation states. 

The city lies along Tualatin Valley Highway between Forest Grove to the West and Hillsboro to the East.

Further east, nearer Boston, not so much.

I also have two other properties in the East Bay with much lower interest rates from the past three years.Thank you for your input!

I've seen properties just outside of there going towards Mercy and also on the east side of the river and going up Milton Ave.

Add in, that you'll prob have to collect a co-pay from lower income people.Not seeing a big advantage (nor dis-advantage) either way.Steve, back east in the mid west deep south and rust belt  Section 8 pays SUBSTANTIALLY higher than market rents..

If you are thinking out of CA then is the east coast too far?
