I am a 34 year old woman in Ohio pending a divorce and will have about $100k to start over and rebuild when the dust is settled in a few months.

This area is undergoing a huge revitalization and being apart of rebuild of another property in Ohio is my small way of helping my community.

(Maybe contractors are tied up with rebuilding fire areas?)

Be careful.Medical bankruptcy (someone gets really sick like cancer) I think deserves to be looked at seriously as far as helping them rebuild their history.

Imagine if you had to rebuild your neighbor's house as well as your own.

Maybe instead of a full rebuild, have you thought about just a modernization of it's look.I did a mockup of Hardie board, a porch with a trendy standing seam metal porch roof, new doors and windows, architectural shingles, roof ridge vents, and stone cladding around the foundation.The house looks small and it's only one story, have you thought about teaching yourself to put on the Hardie board and save same money.But there is a lot of extra land, and the neighbors houses do look a lot bigger though.Decisions, decisions.Just my 2 cents.

There are more guidelines for the Streamline, but these are the basics.Standard/Full 203krehab must be min $5k and max cannot exceed FHA max loan amount, which can be as high as $1.4 Million in some areas. rehab can include structural and complex work (can tear down property to foundation and rebuild or convert duplex to 4-family, etc.). money is only paid to contractors after loan closes. 

Without that people would not have had the confidence to rebuild.

In my experience their "standard" policies usually only cover about 80-90% of what it would cost to rebuild the home, so I'll typically opt to have extra added so I don't have to come out of pocket if something catastrophic happens to the home.

Tyndall AFB is the driving economic factor down there and they are looking to rebuild in the next 3 years, so they say.
