You could just get an index fund and return at least that much and it would be completely passive.Now if you were to get 6% return from your rants, and then be expecting 3% appreciation gain year-over-year, that might not be that bad.Personally I shoot for 20% return on my money, although I mainly invest in higher maintenance areas and in value add rentals.
