It is a great professional global organization that consists of a lot of architects, developers, and city officials.

I've always loved architecture and homes since I was a little kid growing up in Wisconsin in the 70's when my stepdad (rich dad, haha) who was a realtor used to take me to open houses and we lived in a nice house by the water...fishing, boating, waterskiing, camping, etc...I latched onto the idea of being an architect early and never gave up the dream.

Best to start your search on Yelp or BP for a local architect that does ADU conversions and get their advice.  

I am working on a 4-unit new construction and working with an architect who is knowledgeable of both single-family and multi-family construction (and therefore both the IRC and IBC).When it comes to hiring a general contractor, is it essential to have someone who has experience with the IBC, especially if the architect has that background? 

I figured, "I'm an architect, this should take 3 months tops".
