Here's my answers to your questions:1) It depends on your goals, some investors want more privacy, so they understand they won't get the same cash flow as someone that wants to rent out all the bedrooms and live in the smallest rooms.

PGE went up by ~25% in the winter/fall, not much in the summer/spring.Nurses like privacy (private entrance), quiet, utilities included (inc internet) and blackout curtains because most of them work the night shift.

If your HOA or county law allows it, and the tenants don't mind (I mean owner in a camper van in the backyard, that's not appealing to renters and they likely will not want to pay market value for less privacy), it's an idea, but why not just live with family during that time and skip the camper van altogether?

I am in the same boat.i see a lot of reasons to start business just to protect your self and overcome privacy issue.specially when you are in private Money business.I started one company with one us citizen but thought all these are passive investment we buy property and rent it.I have started another one my self I will hire a CEO who can take care of day to day operation.I am not an attorney and not a legal advice I talked to attorney they say as long as you don't benefit from it you are good

This is a really loooooong discussion but the best way I've found to protect ones privacy and provide legal liability protection is to have the trust own the property and have the beneficiary of the trust be your LLC and then the membership of your LLC can be whoever (you personally, a Family limited partnership, etc.)

Hi Gloria, It is tough here because Ontario uses power of sale instead of foreclosure, and tax auctions are by sealed bid, not live auction.A lot of the mailing lists and info sources the Americans use don't exist here due to privacy rights.And lastly, you'll never see a 150k house up for 20k that needs 10k in labour....
