When one looks at it logically if your median is say 150k ( pretty common in some mid western cities) and your trying to buy 100k all in rentals what is that telling you ??? 

(International Exisiting Bldg Code, used almost everywhere in the world)You need to fire proof apt doors and fire proof painted walls/ceiling in the exit stairs.Most Bldg Inspectors and Architects don't know this.I am a CSL in western mass who writes these reports for about 2-3 k or just tell your architect to use IEBC chapter 14.YOU NEED ZONING FIRSTOWNERS SHOULDN'T TALK TO BLDG INSPECTORS!

Junk mail, junk email, text advertising, sales pitch robo phone calls.  5000 contacts = 4500 ignores, 450 mildly pissed off, 48 “lookers”, 1 real buyer, and 1 deeply depressed, almost suicidal individual who believes a random postcard means the end of western civilization.  

Top 20 might work if they aren’t on the coast.I would check out Albany, central nj, northeast Pa, Hartford and western ma as they are all driving distance from you.I would consider trying to house hack in NYC.

New Hampshire has some phenomenal markets as does a bit more Western Mass if you are looking between Boston towards Worcester.

In my market maybe 90% of houses are over 80 years old where the housing boom in the western states didn't begin until after world war 2 I believe.
