I'm suspicious because we know how much CA loves to tax things.Finally, a 30 year note.  30 years is a long time to have $100,000 down payment tied up, and your annualized return by year 30 is about what the stock market gives.

@Jacob Bowman how is your water/ sewer metered, if it is metered by the water company you may be able to give them a call, even ask for your usage data because now "you are trying to conserve"  It does seem incredibly suspicious, but you also need to know how your water/ sewer is ordinarily billed to make a determination, is it actually based on your usage or does the landlord take the bill for the entire building and divide by the number of units.

Miraculously my realtor calls me & says the listing agent told her they have multiple offers & I should start considering my “best & final” I find it HIGHLY suspicious that after all this time there are multiple offers now, in a time when a large chunk of the country is out of work and almost nobody is making large purchases.

A few hours after my offer was submitted I get a call from my agent informing me that the listing agent has told her there are multiple offers and I should prepare a "final & best" In the current market with so many people laid off and scared and sales volume way down I find this to be HIGHLY suspicious and do not believe there are multiple offers.
