@Kris Haskins  those of us in Real Estate that deal in distressed assets this is par for the course... and for everyday folks that end up in this situation they may not have been rich but they lost the same things.. what money they had the wife the family etc.I have sat with many at their kitchen tables. ( when i did foreclsoure rescue last minute) in Oregon and Washington and Ca.  

We have Rescue Rooter use camera to find the problem this morning and it is outside of front yard right under the tree.  

The seller is happy because they'll be able to rescue their credit score and some equity.The problem is finding a title company to close the deal.  

I had a load of custom made hardwood flooring delivered to a winery parking lot when I lived in Napa  then my thought was I would drive over load it up in my pickem up truck and bring it over a few bundles at a time.. they weighed a lot.well my truck had the plastic liner.. and the runs of the HW were 10 to 12 feet ( I had them custom milled) so the back of the pick up was down I figured they weighed so much no need to tie them I was only going 1 mile.well I had to cross Silverado Trail and its 55 mHP so I punch it a bit and the load slips right out and lands smack dab in the middle of the hwy... wine tasters coming to a quick halt thankfully no one got hurt and I was able to rescue my HW flooring.. no damage it just kind of plopped down.. glad your OK  phew that had to be very scary.

I worked for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue for 12 years, it is a great brotherhood!  

He knows that but if he sells, finds a buyer, and you do not piggy back, he may not be there to rescue you.  

There's no excuse for ignorance, though.I also have some pet causes among the local schools and such to which I wish to donate from that pot, not to mention animal rescue, veteran's housing and senior care (since I'm 61 now).David J Dachtera"Success is not a destination.

@Bill Gulley,The whole "foreclosure rescue" thing has been outlawed for a few years now.Educated people know that when you approach someone facing foreclosure, whether you're talking short sale or some other solution, you make it clear to the seller that you make no guarantees, the lender must agree to any short sale, modification or other solution involving the loan itself, and that whatever you attempt may not resolve their situation favorably.That's called disclosure, also.

@Willem Young  The west coast states have all passed anti equity skimming and foreclosure rescue laws..
