When I was a kid my next door neighbor was an English war bride and a former professor of English at Oxford and she would cringe at my farm boy English.

When Rodney Dangerfield was in a class with the professor..who was played by Sam Kinison and they were talking about the war in Vietnam..Rodney started going off when asked a question and at the end of the conversation..Sam Kinison said..and I'm saying to you.."

However, the professor, who owned many in apartment buildings in Fullerton, CA, encouraged me to invest in real estate and became a close friend.

Reminds me of a business professor I had that said the saying the customer is always right is a stupid saying.  

Not so much for the applications you will get but, more importantly, the recommendations you will get from professors, etc. this is a great first vetting process.
