Both Pottstown and Coatesville were steel towns, and had a couple bad decades after that heavy industry was mostly off-shored.

Fraud  Scam   not real  sitting at a computer off shore somewhere first off NO lender does 5k to 10 mil..

I know that's an oddly specific question, but I kind of feel like I could potentially house hack my house hack if I am allowed to work offshore while I gain equity and pass my 1 year required time. 

ITs much like those that buy 5k houses in the mid west and big inner cities and resell them to unsuspecting LA based investors or west coast or off shore investors for 40 to 80... claiming them to be cash flow investments....

I hope to be able to contribute something of value on the forums, though I'm not sure how relevant my offshore perspective will be.  

I work offshore which makes managing myself very difficult. 

@Ben Leybovich Brandon seems happy focusing on his Hoquiam Tsunami Bullseye Target area, which is past due for what may be the largest offshore earthquake in recorded US history from the Cascadia fault that runs from Northern California to Vancouver, BC.

We have huge oil discoveries offshore, very large construction projects, and housing prices are on the up and up.

Marketwatch.com put out a good article on the increase in manufacturing jobs and some supporting reasoning why "Made In America" is coming back (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/us-flips-the-script-on-jobs-reshoring-finally-outpaced-offshoring-in-2014-2015-05-01). 

It is not that hard to set up an off shore account and then start investing.
