After reading this thread, a few comments come to mind over this common A or B decision.Without knowing how much it is (no need to say) makes my advice (or more accurately, my opinion) more general in nature but here it goes:Lending has very little to no tax shelters whereas buy and hold does.

I know the 20yr city development plans, I know of the waste water treatment facilities that are wrapping up approvals and have not even broke ground yet and exactly how many w/s laterals will be approved with such.

CS is just a difference in the timing of when depreciation is recognized (or what is depreciated), it shouldn't change the nature of the investment type (short term vs long term).
