RE is a very tough business in any manner.. and whats happened in the last 20 years is the internet and the fantasy that anyone can get rich at it with non of your own money.. while this can happen..

I realize that might be a bleeding heart fantasy and recipe for financial ruin, but I'm a big ideas and problem-solving kind of person.So: suggestions for setting up a property management process with this rental population in mind?

Fantasy, if they do know RE, they then know you don't have the experience, so why would they partner, they'll just buy it, if it was a good deal.

The physical and sexual abuses were beyond belief, and no one seemed to care because I was the mentally retarded, spazzy loser with no way to communicate, and most likely no one who would have cared if I could.I was told that my son would never walk or talk-and that is BEFORE he got sick- and he now, at 20 years old, owns his own home free and clear, teaches extremely basic code to Autistic children[ actually learning with them, not the sterotypical IT Autistic],is working on the third book in a fantasy adventure trilogy he is writing, has cleared most of the trails in the location that will one day be THE Autistic retreat center of the world, and he has already been approached about management there.  

The numbers don't lie, and it will lead to either further research into that market/specific properties or we can move on to a different market.Also, when investing for cash flow the seller's asking price is usually a fantasy.  

They will milk them dry of what little credit or money they have.You can't talk to these people as they are so hyped up on fantasy that they do not want to hear the reality.

Inquiring minds want to know:Is there a fine line (or any line, really) between crappy books and pure fantasy?

This is fantasy land.  

It is unclear to me the difference between fantasy football and crowdfunding.
