Don't buy a fancy condo with a high monthly condo fee in a building that doesn't allow rentals or a house that only has one bathroom and you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to it. 

In our municipality, they are pretty fancy, and can tell you if there is a leak. 

As of right now I wouldn't do anything fancy.

Just open up the can and dive in with a spoon or you dress it up some? 

Upside - we can self manage, we get a fancy new kitchen, build great equity since Brooklyn is such a hot market.  

I look at the house with a contractor and it's going to need an easy $50-$60k to dress it up, fix foundation and asbestos issues, among other things and at best you might get $1,900 gross rent each month. 

"Relocating due to military obligations/service" or something a little more fancy then that would be the closest I would do to acknowledging anything involving the military, at least while you are still in.

But I really think I should just go for the multiplex, and stop trying to be a wannabe OC Housewife with my big fancy walk in closet!

They may not have as nice online tools, apps, fancy sites like your traditional big banks but we’re good to work with.
