Many of the late '90s/early 00's projections have already failed to pan out.Look, if you wanted to argue that climate change would exacerbate drought conditions in CA, to the point that Southern CA would be a declining market in 30 years, I think maybe you could make that point.But to argue that the Midwest will somehow become milder is simply not supportable.

This would seem to have a negative impact on historic districts by increasing density and adversely affecting parking (many historic homes, at least in my area, do not have adequate parking/garages to begin with -- this will just exacerbate the issue, putting more cars on the street).We're also in the unique position of having a University within the community that currently only houses approximately 40% of their students, putting tremendous pressure on the local, mostly historic, housing stock.

Yes, risks can be mitigated but it can't be eliminated and with borrowed funds, the risks have now been exacerbated solely based on the source of funds.

Don't get me wrong, I am extremely pro STR and it now represents a large part of my income, but I don't think sticking our fingers in our ears and being tone deaf about the issues it has exacerbated is constructive.
