Hi everyone, I just joined and wanted to say how amazing this community is; anyone can see that, even from browsing the discussions.As of now I have not ventured into the investment side of real estate, mostly because of a lack of capital to get started, but will be checking out all the tips and tricks to get that foot in the door.

The user interface for Avail is terrible.

Also curious if there is any CRM that allows texting though the interface.

Zillow is great - but check out the MLS - lots of realty sites let you browse the MLS at no charge and no realtor.

I have browsed through hundreds of properties and run the numbers on dozens.

I have used Allied Schools for me and agents, great online interface and easy to read and track progress, no complaints, they have been around 26 years. 

Have attended a courthouse auction and been browsing hubzu, auction.com, etc, but don't know where to start.

If all goes as planned I hope to begin investing in February (after the wedding); until then I'll be building contacts, browsing the MLS, and doing calculations on properties i find.A bit about myself; my father raised me to be independent and do manual labor myself and now because of him, I do many of the home repairs myself and like to believe I'm fully capable of being my own property manager (currently own a home i purchased thinking i could grow into).

I love Airbnb - the interface, the company, the ease of set up and payments, etc. - and will only use them.
