It definitely helps rent units faster.

China is literally the worlds biggest economy and growing faster than the US or Europe. 

The time to close is typically much faster and they finance based on the property not specifically the individual (although that is still very important).

if you are getting just started, i would just use your personal name and get the freddie/fannie 30 yr fixed loans. gives you way better cashflows up front which allows you to grow faster in the beginning.

In my market, for what it's worth, having a washer and dryer doesn’t seem to make a difference in getting homes rented any faster.

I have personally observed that being an active investor grows your money much faster as well.

I tend to have an easier/faster time renting my 2 bedroom units than the larger ones. 

The more you show on your paystubs, the more lenders will approve you to borrow and the faster your savings will grow.  

With a portfolio like this, and a good job, you could be able to save up $48K reasonably quickly - perhaps faster than the 2-3 year time horizon you post here!
