@Leon Kanon Chicago is a great market for investing but an out of state investor like yourself needs to assemble a team first.

I have done this myself.however you have to assemble a great team and work It backwardsand you need a ton of up front due diligence.. 

When you have an OOS property with a reputable Turnkey provider (or a truly solid, reputable PM, if you go the DIY route and assemble your own team) it cuts out the possibility of driving by, checking on tenants, etc.

If the acutal shrader assembly is cracked then the whole compressor would need to be changed most likely.

It is obviously more difficult and requires you to have a high level of management skills to assemble a competent team and continuously manage that team.

Of note when I assembled them originally, I used construction adhesive on all connecting joints and added an extra trim head cabinet screw on large pieces to really hold them together.
